Averil Christine McCoy,
My Mam was born on Christmas day 1944.
She passed away 11th October 2005, Aged 60 years old.
Averil was the wife of Dave, they had been married for 39 years.
Also the loving Mother to myself Diane, Jason & Jen.
Mother- in- law to Kevin & Tom.
& Nana Averil to Nicola, Adam, Lewis, Nathan, Georgia, Finley & she has 2 new Grandaughters Olivia &
baby Megan who sadly she never got to meet.
Averil fought breast cancer in 1996 & after treatment was given the all clear, We all thought that
she had won her battle but sadly in June 2005 we found out she had lung cancer.
Why should such a lovely lady have to fight a hard battle against cancer , And then for it to
return, it just was"nt fair.
My Sister Jen was expecting her 1st child.
Mam was so, so looking forward to the new baby coming, The baby was due December 23rd, Another
Christmas baby.
Mam was in & out of hospital, which she hated.
Late September Mam was told that there was nothing more could be done for her.
She decided that she wanted to come home & be with her family.
She fought so hard to stay & went through so much, She had so much to look forward to.
My Mam passed away on October 11th at 8am.
We all focused on the new babys arrival.
Baby Finley was born 2 weeks early on December 10th 2005.
After a few days the Doctors noticed that something was wrong with Finley & after tests found out he
had a problem with his heart.
Finley was transfered to Newcastle R.V.I hospital & underwent heart surgery.
Sadly our hearts where broken again when Finley joined his Nana Averil on her birthday, Christmas
day, aged 15 days old.
We lost 2 precious Angels in 2 months.
We know that Mam & Finley are together & looking after each other.
We all love & miss them both so much.

Worlds beyond our eyes,

A pause within the plan.
Mystics say that many lives

Of God's eternal law.
